Lvn Program School

Licensed vocational nurses go to LVN school for a period of approximately 18 months, but the time can vary according to the schools. In many states LVN`s are known as licensed practical nurses, or LPN`s. If you want to become an LVN, you can go to a technical collage that has LVN programs. If your work schedule conflicts with LVN school hours, you can take online LVN school training.

You can take all your courses online. You can even take your tests online. To get into LVN school you will need to pass an entrance exam. Once you are accepted into the program, you may be chosen to start nursing school. Don`t be surprised if there is a waiting list, because many applicants may have registered before you did, and classes are only so large.

Many men and women are going to a part time LVN school and to an online school for LVN. There are many single mothers who have to work and take care of their children; therefore, they are fortunate enough to take evening classes through part time LVN school. During part time LVN school, you will do your clinical work during those evening hours also. LVN schools are sometimes associated in trade schools, or in technical colleges, or in community colleges.

Many nursing students go to LVN school, and later to go to college to become an RN. If you have hopes of one day becoming a registered nurse, be sure to ask if your LVN credits will transfer to RN school. It`s important to check about college credits, because all LVN programs do not transfer their credits the student`s credits for an RN program. Nursing is rewarding work, and it pays well too.
